The Council Advertising Network was launched formally on 1 May 2014 to source socially responsible advertising as the exclusive partner of Local Authorities. CAN operates its own technology to manage network inventory and campaigns, and works with advertising industry partners to serve ads and access exchanges. CAN has a dedicated ad sales team that works with agencies and direct advertisers, as well as a network team that develops, implements and supports local authorities and portals.
